Director of Human Resources | Michael Rozzelle

Michael Rozzelle Sr. was born and raised in Hamlet, North Carolina, where the values of integrity, discipline, and service were instilled in him from an early age. He is a proud graduate of Richmond Senior High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, pursuing an academic path grounded in understanding human performance and wellness.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Michael commissioned into the United States Army through the rigorous Officer Candidate School, where he was designated an Adjutant General Officer. As a Human Resources professional in uniform, Michael's leadership was instrumental in the activation of a Military Intelligence Battalion from its Provisional status—a highly complex undertaking requiring vision, structure, and tenacity. Under his direction, the Battalion rose to become the leading force in U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) for readiness metrics, maintaining that position for over nine consecutive months.

During his seven years of active-duty service, Michael held dual roles as both the Battalion S1 Officer in Charge (OIC) and the Company Executive Officer (XO). He was ranked the #1 First Lieutenant in his organization, an accolade earned through consistent excellence and an unwavering commitment to both mission and people. He is also Airborne qualified, having completed one of the most demanding courses in the Army to earn the coveted jump wings.

Michael transitioned from military service into the civilian workforce, stepping into the role of Human Resources Director for Flavor Hills LLC in 2024. For him, the move from Adjutant General Officer to HR Director was not a departure, but a continuation—bringing the same care for people, strategic thinking, and passion fororganizational leadership into a new domain.

At the heart of Michael's work is a deep love for people and a desire to solve complex problems that impact the lives of those he serves. Whether advising leadership, streamlining policy, or standing up for the needs of a team member, he brings a servant-leader mindset to every decision.

Outside of work, Michael is a devoted husband and father. He cherishes life with his wife and three beautiful children, who are his foundation and greatest source of joy. His life and leadership are rooted in faith, family, and the belief that people are always the greatest asset of any organization.
